15 weeks!

How Far Along: 15 weeks (175 more days to go!)

What "They" Say About Our Baby's Development: How your baby's growing: Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces. It's busy moving amniotic fluid through its nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in its lungs begin to develop. Its legs are growing longer than its arms now, and it can move all of its joints and limbs. Although its eyelids are still fused shut, it can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, it's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but it is forming taste buds. Finally, if you have an ultrasound this week, you may be able to find out whether your baby's a boy or a girl! (Don't be too disappointed if it remains a mystery, though. Nailing down your baby's sex depends on the clarity of the picture and on your baby's position. He or she may be modestly curled up or turned in such a way as to "hide the goods.")

Weekly Food Comparison: An apple...the one constant in my diet since getting pregnant!

The Good: Nausea seems to have subsided!

The Bad:
Back is hurting more and more, as is left leg. Have been going to massage therapy to help with this. Seems to be working!

The Weird: Still having odd cravings and making weird impulse buys in the store. Last night it was candy corn and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. :)

Currently Craving/Avoiding:

Avoiding: String cheese, sodas (too sweet to drink)

Craving: Chicken, rice, random things like chocolate chip cookies

Doctor Updates:
Nothing new this week. Have an appointment in 4 days.

The Weekly Belly Bump: Definitely seems a little bigger.

Those lines on my belly are from my pj bottoms

(not normally there and not stretch marks - yet!)
