So it's been a busy week for Kawasaki Disease, and I'm excited to share this!
Set your DVRs and tune in to Grey's Anatomy on March 28th where the episode, entitled "Can't Fight This Feeling" will feature actress Sarah Chalke (from Scrubs and How I Met Your Mother) as a mom with a child with Kawasaki Disease. This is exciting as it will hopefully bring even more awareness of KD and the signs and symptoms. Read an article about the episode here: http://tvline.com/2013/03/07/greys-anato my-season-9-spoilers-sarah-chalke-kawasa ki-disease/
Additionally, Gary Busey, who is currently appearing on the Celebrity Apprentice, is helping to raise awareness of KD through his own foundation, The Busey Family Foundation which was founded last year to help raise awareness about KD and funds is here http://www.buseyfoundation.org/
And KING5 News here in Seattle recently ran a story regarding KD and soy being a possible trigger: http://www.king5.com/health/Seattle-Childrens-researcher-believes-soy-could-trigger-Kawasaki-disease-193406981.html
